"Building Teaching Skills Through the Interactive Web" Week 6

Hello dear colleagues and Donna,

We passed another wonderful week! In spite of busy days we all keen to do our interesting assignments.
In this week we have been involved with nicenet discussions. Here we were familiar with PowerPoint to Increase Interactionand we discussed about interactive and standard PowerPoints. It was very interesting to read about others opinions on this issue and to give my opinion.
Next we discussed about Interactive Teaching & Large Classes, What techniques and technology could you use to make your large classes more interactive?
As for us we bring technology ourselves and use it in the class. We do many quizzes games and pair and group work.
Besides, I read the article "How to create memorable lectures". It describes three phases of the learning process: keeping students' attention, giving them opportunities, to review and apply important concepts. And Just-in-Time Teaching  also very essential technique which is useful for both teacher and students.
Here lectures are scattered of short activities that command students to use the information or concepts presented in the lecture. In Just-in-Time Teaching, students react electronically to web-based assignments, due a few hours before class.
And also, it is very essential for teachers, since it can help them to manage with time.

And in the next task we created our PowerPoint slide show that includes 1-3 interactive elements, ConcepTest, QuickWrite, hyperlinks/jumps to other sections of the PPT show based on student responses.  Here I created my Subject-verb agreement PowerPoint slide with its quizzes. It was very interesting and hope it will help me students to enhance their skills.

Best regards,
